There is power in a repeated message.
This week I put Addison down for a nap and just as soon as I got downstairs she started saying, "Mommy tell A'son!" Begging, really. I didn't know what she wanted, but honestly I was a little intrigued. So I went back up and simply ran through the usual nap routine all over again. I put my hand on her back and said softly, "Will you be here when I come back? Good! Have a good sleep... I love you." She quietly turned her head and snuggled into her blanket, right on cue.
Guess she just needed to hear it. One more time.
