- I think we've outgrown our snow boots... though they have been fun to wear around the house with no socks. This shot brings back fond memories of a former student, Ryan. And his boots. I feel another post coming on...
- The latest in bath time fun? Raising up and crashing back down to create tidal waves times two. This gets them ejected every time, but it's still fun enough to keep trying apparently.
- The latest in what Mom does during naps? Washing that darn puzzle mat. You know, the gigantic one that after a while gets grime stuck under it. The one that has to air dry in a bazillion little pieces all over our hose for a three day marathon of washing and drying? Yep, that one.
- Next door, our neighbors are having their back porch rebuilt. And the whole project kicked off with a delivery of one of those trash containers that sit on site and await pick up after the job is completed. Caden was mesmerized as he watched that delivery truck roll up and slide the container off the back of its bed. "He boomed it down!" Though we can't see the daily work or progress because of where the porch is situated, the kids are very interested in the workmen coming and going, and watching the pile of materials change each day.
- When presented with a new outfit, Addison now wants to know, "Who gave dis to A'son?" So we get to talk about the grandparents alot while getting dressed these days : )
- Addison's decided that the blower isn't all that bad...
- Right before the kids helped Travis with the blower, they watched him mow the yard. Caden was rather insistent that he be allowed to help. I tried to explain that when he is bigger he could, but that right now it was too dangerous. That maybe he'd like to use his mower inside, while Dad used the big mower outside... He sort of sadly walked off and got busy, only to return with his hands in his pockets a few minutes later announcing, "Caden is bigger... want to go help Daddy mow." So we made sure Caden got to at least put hands on the thing after all the real work was done. Which of course, Addison had to try as well. They LOVE helping Dad with his yard work!
