LizBeth

When I was a little girl, I loved Clifford books.  So much so that I named my precious baby doll Emily Elizabeth (Clifford's owner).  She went everywhere with me, and to see her now you can tell it.  That baby doll was well-loved!  She is stained and her hair stands straight up from the many washings.  But she apparently hasn't lost any of her charm...

While Addison has only recently started to play with dolls, she really connected with this one while we were at my folks' house.  Maybe it's because she really got into all my old Clifford books and made the connection to the girl in the story.  Maybe it's because we told her that Emily Elizabeth was mine when I was little.  Or maybe she just liked her.  But LizBeth is now part of our family.  Addison dresses her.  Lovingly hugs her.  And gives her stroller rides.  Addison is most pleased to come down the stairs each morning to find LizBeth.  Yesterday LizBeth was riding our rocking dog.  Today she was sitting in Addison's library chair.  Who knows where she'll be tomorrow!?
