It's hard to hit just the highlights... but here are some of this week's best:
- Counter time. The kids have loved using the step stool at the sink but now are delighted to use it all around the counters as well. They love picking out their tomatoes, helping to mix and generally getting to be part of the action. Check out Travis and his mini-me tasting their prep work...
- One day this week I handed Caden something he'd asked for. As I turned back around I heard, "Sanks Mama!" When I spun back to look at him he was smiling from ear to ear. Love. That. Boy.
- Someone got the bright idea to build a dock out of all my pans. All. Of. Them. I can't fault their ingenuity, or their balance. Much to my complete shock, no one slipped and fell. So I'm glad I let them keep at it.
- Caden is kind of obsessed with grilling. (At Grammy and Grampy's, he turned patio furniture into a grill!) So last time Travis cranked the real one up, we turned our sand/water table into a miniature version, complete with burgers!
- Look what happened while Caden was helping Dad with his morning eggs...
- The kids are still enjoying their pint-sized lawn furniture. Can't you just imagine the conversations they're having in these shots???
- The kids are seriously into checking the mail with Dad every day when he gets home. And really, when you're two, who cares about needing pants to go outside?!?
- At the end of each day, we wrap up with a bath. Which is more often just for fun than for actual filth. Nonetheless, it is a much-anticipated part of our evening routine. Check the faces as they topped the stairs the other night...
