Adventures In Potty Training: Did We Miss The Window??
There hasn't been much progress since our last update. Mostly, the kids ignore the potty. They might agree to go try it (on a good day!) but don't really get excited about using it for the right purpose. They're far more interested in getting access to the family room. Or in reading a magazine while they're there. And so, I began to think we'd missed our window. But it turns out, a little added motivation has helped alot. I removed the old sit-on-the-floor froggie potties and replaced them with little toilet seat inserts and new step stools. So they can use the "big girl potty" and "big boy potty" when they need to go. Honestly, we're only successful at using the potty before and after bath (when we're staring the toilet in the face) and after naps (with Addison mostly, and only when I catch her immediately after waking up). But it's an improvement. And at least now I feel like we're still in the game and not having to start all over...
