Adorable Addison
Addison's been having a little separation anxiety when I put her down at night, or when Dad does and I kiss her goodnight on her way up the stairs. She would ask, "Mommy come back to get you???" in a pleading voice. As if I'd ever leave her. At first I reassured her that yes, we always come back. But then I started worrying about making promises I didn't know I could keep. So I started asking her... "Will you be here when I come back?" or "Will I see you in the morning?" To which she would answer with a big smile, "Yes!" Then a few days ago, as I walked out of their room after putting them down for naps, I heard this funny clicking sound. I turned and there she was. Blowing me kisses from her crib. Oh that little heart melter. Of course Caden chimed in too... and I was completely smitten. Or so I thought. Tonight, before I could ask her anything, I put Addison down and she popped right back up to say, "I'll see you when I wake up!" I wanted to jump into her bed and cuddle up for the night. But I managed to restrain myself, opting instead to plaster on a huge grin and say "OK, see you in the morning!" Oh how sweet is the love of Addison...
