You Go First
This week I have noticed an interesting phenomenon develop. The kids have begun to be better noticers of all things small, and as such they now want to investigate further when they come upon a creepy crawly of interest. They like to watch where it crawls, see how it moves and sometimes... sometimes... see how they feel. We'll all be squatted down, peering at the little thing as they take turns saying, "Want to touch it!" Followed immediately by a small pause and then Addison's little sing-song voice adding, "Caden touch it." Being a good big brother, and much more of a risk-taker, he always obliges. And they both troop off into the yard feeling satisfied. She with cleaner hands. He with greater pride. And the bug and I... we're just glad no one got squished.
