Update From the Dr.

Saw the doctor this morning and he seemed so pleased that we've gotten this far! Tomorrow starts week 35...

The doc made no comment about any additional thinning or dilating of the cervix. However I've gained a few pounds, every ounce of them in the belly, which now measures a whopping 44 cm. He said that at this point it would be more prudent to let nature take its course instead of continuing to try and thwart it. So he took me off the "no contractions" pills... YAY!!! I am still on bed rest and the diet... BOOO!!! But that's because we don't want to encourage an earlier than necessary arrival.

In other exciting news, our son has been ready to make his appearance forever. We keep telling his sister to stop pushing on him, but to no avail :) :) Our docs have always mentioned how low the boy was in my pelvis, but today was the first time anyone mentioned "station" to us. He said the little guy was probably at +1 or +2. While this is subject to individual interpretation on any given day, it's still exciting. Check out what station refers to...

Some scales go from -5 to +5, or -4 to +4... but still! This guy is ready to make his appearance despite my best efforts!
