Editor's Note: I wrote this post in real-time, though I've waited a while to publish it. Why? Check out this recap. Now, cue the time machine and let's back up a few weeks...
Adventures in Twin Potty Training: Day 2
Mood: Cautiously optimistic.
Hopes: That I'll begin to figure out their patterns and tells.
Fears: That Day 1 was a total fluke. And that if it was I won't be able to handle it alone.
Reality: We started out with some resistance today. As I expected we might. Funny though, it came from Caden. It's like he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Then decided he wanted that doggone diaper back. By post-breakfast, he was over it.
The morning brought a successful poop from Addison, a fair number of successful tinkles from both of them, and a whole bunch of excited "I'm feeling it Mommyyyyyyy"s that were big fat fibs. Well, all except for one little series of excited assurances from Caden that seemed like they were going nowhere. I could just tell though, and I kept going with him. On the third try, a tiny poop! Hurray! No accidents all morning.
If Day 1 was dreamy, today was pure magic. Caden is practically potty training himself and Addison seems to really like being a big girl.
Final Editor's Note: Gotta say, it is really strange not trotting the diaper trash out now.
