"I want to be so much covered." That means pull up my covers a little further.
We were looking at the trees up close and feeling the texture, when Addison pointed at the bark. She asked, "What's that?" I said, "Bark... bark is what's on the outside of a tree." She didn't miss a beat and said, "And the outside of a dog."
Addison is speaking in 8-10+ word sentences more and more now. The other day I went to get her from her nap (Caden was already downstairs) and she popped up in the crib as I entered the door saying, "A'n had a very good sleep after Caden went downstairs!" No translation needed, a girl likes a little brother-free time now and then : )
We've always made an effort to get the kids to tell us when they need a new diaper. Worst case, it just helps us. Best case, it helps them start to recognize the feeling of going and needing to go. But just to add emphasis, I told them a while back that they needed to tell me when they had poop in their pants because, "We don't want the poop to burn our bunkin." As in diaper rash. (Just to clarify, I also talked about how pooping in the potty would keep them dry and their bunkin burn-free as well.) So this week, Caden has come running over almost every time he poops saying, "We don't want to burn our bunkin!" Today, Addison added, "I have fire in my poop!"
