The kids always look so nice as we head out the door to church. But there's no time for photos, it's all about getting the troops to the destination on time. So we catch photos like this on our return... where our Sunday best looks a little rumpled and we've probably lost our shoes.
Last Sunday though, we really gave our church clothes a run for their money. It was so nice outside when we got home, that we just let the kids head straight from the car to the yard. We lost a hair clip, got dirt under our nails, and came in with lots of leaves in our cuffs, but oh boy was it worth it!

And of course, there was the obligatory leaf play... complete with a little hand holding for added adorableness. (And after much searching, I've given that hair clip up for lost. Maybe we'll find it next spring.)
