The kids missed preschool today, even though everyone was feeling better. We just needed a day of waking up temp free and getting our normal routine back. In school they would have marble painted a spider web... Good thing we were able to DIY at home. Only I didn't have black paper or marbles. No matter, I painted a large piece of construction paper black. Then used Elmers to make the web framework. I sprinkled course salt on it and it did ok, so I had the kids make the circular parts of the web and sprinkle sugar, just to see which material did better. They needed a little help making the circles big enough, and dumping is what happened when we tried to sprinkle... so some shaking of the paper was required. But they liked the whole process for sure and didn't mind my assistance.
