Glue-riffic!

Today we pulled out the glue.  Haven't used it in a while and it was neat to see how much better the kids were at manipulating the bottles.  First we reprised an old activity and glued glass beads to an empty picture frame.  This time, we used clear Elmer's...  big improvement over the opaque stuff!

Caden was very intent on the task.  After a while he decided that he wanted to line up the beads on the frame instead of the glass.  So he started adding dots of glue to the frame and then placing each bead on the glue.  He also tried tapping his paint sponge on the wet glue (we originally used it to spread the glue around on the pane).  It made these fun bubble patches which he liked enough to recreate a few times.  So fun to watch him think it all out!

Addison played along, but pretty quickly decided that finger painting in the glue was much more fun.  When I nixed that idea she drifted off to the playroom.  But Caden kept returning off and on to the gluing.  So I pulled out the glitter glue once he was finally finished.  The kids had fun squeezing away and dragging the glue tips through the glue towers they were making.  Until Addison decided to add a little silver glitter-bling to her diaper and hair bow ensemble.

Messy?  Yes.  Generating extra work for myself?  Totally.  Worth it?  Absogluetely!!
