The First Few Days...

The first few days of our trip were filled with kids who felt worse and worse, even as they tried to enjoy everything about Grammy and Grampy's house.  What precious little troopers.  They played in the rain...

Rocked with Grammy...

Explored with Grampy...

Played with Mom's old toys...

And a few new ones, courtesy of Grammy and Grampy...  (Boy did these push toys rumble as they raced down the hardwoods at a speed only motor-loving boys can attain!  Add a push mower and a girl who is not to be outdone and it sounded like we were at a drag race.)

Plus, there was plenty of reading, including the occasional catalog...

And the random need for rescue (he had no idea what had just happened to him and froze until Grampy saved him from the peril of an accidentally pulled-down chair cover)...

Also, we spent a good bit of time upstairs in Aunt Lindy's old room.  That's where the upstairs toys were stashed.  The kids had a ball pushing their umbrella strollers from one of the house to the other... reading my old Clifford books...  playing with my old dollhouse...  testing out our old chairs... and climbing up in the window seats.  I wish I'd gotten some pictures but we were all so busy enjoying their play that I never snapped any.  Next time.
