- Daddy still has the inexplicable ability to get the kids to sit still with him while they watch TV together. Me, not so much.
- Addison's been getting herself into trouble lately, standing and sitting where she shouldn't be.
- "Mommy no say dat!"... "Caden not look at A'son!"... "Addison no touch Caden!"... I'm beginning to hear the word "No!" more and more. And to hear the kids trying to assert their little independent selves in all sorts of ways. "Mommy color wit Caden... Mommy color wit orange." Or when I have already said... after this book it will be time for our nap... "Mommy read it one mo' time!"
- Let's skip "cause" and go straight to "effect" shall we? Our downstairs tube of diaper rash cream got tested by our quality-control duo while I was paying our car registration online. Does it smear well on vintage leather tot-recliners? Oh yes. Does it blend nicely with the trim and window sill. Totally. Could it double as body paint? Two thumbs up! Caulk? Check. Jewelry cleaner for plastic necklaces? Amazingly, yes. And best of all, it is long-lasting. The same thing that makes it great at soothing rashes makes oh-so-fun to try to remove.
- I heard a sweet little voice the other day, singing in the kitchen. Upon closer investigation, it was Addison singing, "Deep and wide... deep and wide... "(there's a fountain flowing deep and wide).
- And finally, from the super-sweet-department, tonight I caught Addison doing something adorable while she was playing and I said, "I loooove you..." To which she replied, "I love you mo'"... : ) : ) Kind of makes up for the diaper cream incident.
