Making Our Mark

The kids investigated markers (and stickers) again today, after a long while of them sitting on the shelf.  Last time I looked like a rodeo clown trying to keep things rolling and contained.  This time I got to model and facilitate, with only a few occasions of rodeo clown thrown in just to keep things real.  The kids actually used the markers on paper for the most part and are learning to cap and uncap correctly.  They also experimented with trying to clean off their hands (and bellies) when they realized how marked up they were.  It was fun to watch them trying to peel the stickers off by themselves and even more fun trying to guess where each sticker would end up.  They were busy for quite a while, coming back to the table several times throughout the morning...
