Addison The Brave and Captain Caden

Today we had a pool-date with Landon, Emory and their mom, Sarah.  It was our first trip to their neighborhood pool and our first pool experience this summer.  So I was anxious to know how the kids would do.  While we're at it, let's be honest...  I wanted to see how I would do too.  I had no idea how crowded it would be, how much packing was required to get there, or how they'd behave during the whole pool experience.  Thankfully, we were the only ones there : ) the packing was manageable : ) and the kids did fine : )

Braveheart and the Captain walked right into the water (how much do I love a zero-entry pool!!) with no coaxing.  In fact I was running to catch up.  Both played and explored freely and neither seemed to mind the sun too much.  But Caden was over it after about 45 minutes.  It's not that he didn't like it, he was just on to other things.  Like the club house.  Trucks passing by.  And snack.  By 10:30 Cap'n C was giving orders to head to the car, to go "do some cooking" (somehow he thought that's what was going on inside the clubhouse), and to get that snack laid out already.  But not our girl.  Addison looked like she could stay all day.  She wanted to climb the ladder into the deep end, wanted to walk where it was up to her chest and wanted to "blow bubbles and swim".  Yes, I think it is safe to say that Addison may be part fish by next year at this time...
