Puddle Jumpers

The kids have found mud puddles before.  But never took much interest.  Until this one.  Caden, predictably, was the first one to step in.  Then he stomped a foot.  He smiled.  She smiled.  And then the happy feet dance exploded.  Giggles and glee ensued.  Then she got in on the action.  They took turns, splashed together, jumped and ran until they had stomped every last drop out of that puddle.  Caden even took a header into the puddle as he tried to run through it.  But he was fine.  More upset that the ambulance on his shirt got muddy than anything.  The kids were so thoroughly soaked that I had to strip them at the door.  What fun it was, to just stand back and watch them discover and explore!  Wish I'd had our camera, my phone just doesn't do the experience justice...
