We showed the kids the first of the snow/sleet showers just before we put them down last night. And I'm pretty sure Addison started getting excited right then. Check out the intensity on her face as she headed to the garage this morning...
It was actually nice that there was only enough to crunch around in. We got away with wearing regular clothes and shoes as the kids got busy exploring. Caden checked out the yard while Addison made sure the rocks by the mailbox were still intact.
Then Dad showed the kids their first snow balls. (Addison's been asked for more ever since!)
Caden dutifully made sure the car could get Dad safely to work and then promptly fell down in the ground cover plants, confirming his suspicions that snow is indeed very cold.
And finally we ended up the snowsploration with some sitting on the back steps while waving at Mom. Then as a bonus, there was hand holding. Which of course meant that there were some tantrums to come later on in the day. I think they plan stuff like that.
