Catching Up

The last two weeks have been busy and it's time to play catch up!

• The kids stand up in the bathtub ALL THE TIME! Seriously, I don't get one back down before the other has pulled up. So I now bathe them separately, and one has to be belted into the chair right outside the bathroom door while the other gets clean. Addison has now discovered how to weasel out of her seatbelt and slither head first to the floor. And Caden, being a dutiful twin has also picked up the skill as well. Fantastic.
• Addison is a crafty one and a very good rememberer! This morning alone, she told me she wanted to feed me by mouthing "yum, yum, yum" and smacking her lips, she said "at!" ("hat"... her newest word which she learned yesterday) and she managed to take Caden's diaper off of him. We found Addison playing with the diaper and Caden looking like he had no idea what had happened to his pants...
• We had a play date with Connor Ali and good social time with his parents, Regina and Bittu. The babies were very intrigued with Connor, but did their best to be gentle explorers.
• The kids have discovered the laundry room and now love to climb into the laundry basket. They also love to pull open the closet doors by reaching through the old cat door the previous owners left us, and wrap themselves up in the curtains that close off the laundry room from the hall. This presents new pinching, falling and choking hazards... So after a whole couple of days with free roaming privileges, we're back to baby gating the den again.
• Caden is a handy man and a very good rememberer! After helping Dad put the baby gate up ONCE, over two weeks ago... he promptly took the wrench and walked straight to the nut he helped with last time and started working at it when we reinstalled the gate after our travels on Sunday.
