What a brave girl you are! Just the other day you finally took the risk and walked on your own for the first time. And wow did you make your Mama proud! I knew that you could walk a long time ago, but you didn't feel quite ready to try it by yourself. Instead you practiced walking with Dad and me, you watched your brother, and you waited until it all felt right. And then... In the space of about two hours you went from taking two tiny little steps to taking sixteen. By the next day you were up to thirty six, and you were able to start, stop and turn most of the time without falling. It was just another one of the miracles you have brought into our lives, like hearing you cry for the first time, or feeling your soft little breath on my shoulder in the middle of the night.
I hope that you will always be careful when deciding when to take risks--sometimes they are totally worth it, other times not. But always know that when you do, Dad and I will be right there with you. Trying our best not to hold on too tight. Loving you through every success and failure. And always being a safe place to fall.
I love you sweetest baby girl!
