We headed to Mom and Pop Z's for a long weekend over Labor Day. We enjoyed lots of porch time, dock time and lake time with the family. The grandparents enjoyed lots of time with the little ones. And the little ones... they enjoyed being adored by everyone!
You could really tell this trip, that the kids are taking in all the details of new places and new people. When we took them down to the water they listened to the waves, felt the sun and the breeze, and took their first boat ride. It was a short one, it's exhausting trying to keep the sun off two little ones while keeping them comfortable in their life jackets! Travis and I did get to play a little ourselves though. We got to have dinner out, just the two of us while the Mom and Pop Z twin-sat. And we got to play on a stand-up paddle board! REALLY fun and so easy that even I could do it.
