It's All In The Details
What a sweet morning it has been. Full of precious babies sleeping, and lots of holding and cuddling. This is thanks to the fact that both babies have kindly been taking turns waking up and falling back asleep one after the other. While I know this probably means I'm in for some kind of afternoon, it sure is a beautiful start to the day! The extra holding and cuddling leads me to one of the things I am loving most about my kiddos today... the wonderfulness of holding them close. When you cuddle up, you can smell their sweet little breath. It feels like the softest feather brushing by you. And their milk breath sort of reminds you faintly of warm vanilla. They lose control of their mouth and eyes as they drift into sleep when you stick with the cuddling. Then you can focus on the other details that make them so perfect. Caden's hair is like spun silk but fluffy at the same time. Once Addison grows more of it, I'm sure hers will be the same way ; ) And their skin... softer than satin and just about the consistency of marshmallows. The fact that they now coo and hum like there is nothing in the world they want more than to be in your arms adoring you is just an added bonus. Everything about holding them close is delicious... and there is nothing I'd rather do more with my day!

I have alwys believed that all little babies are so precious and sweet, but there is nothing like having your own to love own. Those are the moments that make every single hard time SO very worth it. Cherish every moment, Jen. Before you know it you'll be looking at them and wondering how they could look so much like a little kids, rather than the babies you can so vivildy remember holding in your arms and cuddling.
Oh Jennifer, they are so cute. I haven't been here in about a week so I had several pictures to catch up on. What color is Caden's hair? Addison will eventually grow hair but it took Madalyn almost a year to get enough to do anything with.
Caden's is strawberry blonde. Addison's is a little darker, can't tell if it's just redder or browner, but definitely a bit darker... Addison's hair is s-l-o-w-l-y coming in on top but I think it will be a while before we're doing braids!
