Happy Anniversary To Us!

To My Love,

Four years ago today we ended one journey and started another... no longer dating, no longer engaged, we were married! Look how shiny and happy we were!!!

Looking back there are so many wonderful memories to recall. I love that we met through a mutual addiction to swing dancing, when I nervously asked the cutest boy in the room to dance. I love that I dizzily followed you through a thousand swingouts in a row as you were learning, and would have done a thousand more, just to dance with you a little longer. I clearly remember the first time I was invited to visit your parents house for the weekend, and Dave and Laura's wedding reception where your Dad first saw us dance and later said he realized I was "the one". I also remember all our breakups and mended fences that were part of our journey. All the hurts were worth the joys that were to come... if only we had known what was around the corner, we would have turned it far sooner!

Your proposal that Friday in February is still vivid in my mind... as is the way I almost drove us to Virginia trying to go to breakfast the next day, because I couldn't pay attention to where we were going. I remember telling our families, planning the big day and all the amazing celebrations that our friends and family threw for us. And I can recall everything about our wedding weekend, from the rehearsal to the reception. Such love and joy was ours as we stepped into marriage! And the path ever since has been even better...

Now, as I sit here looking at the beautiful children we have been given and thinking about all the ways our life has changed since first we met, I am blessed beyond measure. You are the man that I want our son to be like as he grows. The husband that I hoped I would one day find. And the partner that I want to walk down life's ever-changing pathways with. Thank you for four amazing years, and countless moments to remember.
