Today's Dr. Visit

Had another OB/Gyn visit today. No ultrasound :( but we did get to hear our babies' heartbeats. Our girl was rockin' at 150 bpm, the boy was at a respectable 140 bpm. My uterus measures 28 cm now, which the Dr. said was equivalent to a 7 month singleton pregnancy. Since we haven't finished our sixth month yet, I'm thinking this is going to be one impressive belly!

All my symptoms are appropriate thus far (swelling of wrists and ankles, low back strain when I walk or sit for long periods, and heaviness in my lower abdomen when I walk). However, to be sure they checked me out and I am not exhibiting early labor signs (phew!). They gave us a pamphlet that outlines signs to watch for and when to call in, and asked us to start thinking about how we can best reduce my workload at 28 weeks. While they understand people's need to work, they also have a great track record with full term twins, so who's to argue?!? However, we're still in discussion on that one. Much to think about.

I'll start seeing them every two weeks or so now, and getting ultrasounds every other visit... another milestone reached!
