Welcome To Wal-mart: Part Deux

After my first welcome to Wal-mart story, I wasn't sure there could be anything to top it.  But oh yes, at Wal-mart there is no limit to what you might find...

Yesterday the kids and I decided to dash over there for some groceries and as we had made our way back to the dairy section I hear Addison announce...  "Baby!"  A little curly-haired boy about her size was sitting in a cart near the eggs and he looked back at her with these adorable brown eyes.  Then the lady who was with the boy looked up and saw my two... and things started as they usually do.

Her:  Oh, are they twins?
Me:  Yep!

Her:  A boy and a girl?
Me:  Yes, ma'am.

Her:  They're adorable!
Me:  (smiling) Well thanks, this little one is too (gesturing to the boy in her cart)

(It's at this point that Caden begins patting Addison on the back while looking at the boy and saying, "A'son".  As if he's introducing her.)

Me:  (smiling gigantically at the amazingness of my boy)  Oh, look...  Caden's introducing his sister.  That's right Caden, this IS Addison.  And what's his name? (I look at the boy and then up at the woman.)

Her:  (slight pause)  Bodacious.  (She cringes, and in that nanosecond I realized she wasn't joking.)
Don't you think that every child ought to be named for a championship rodeo bull?

As she winced again, all kinds of thoughts started to flood my mind.  First, what is it with the name incidents at Wal-mart?!?  Is the universe trying to tell me something or am I just a crazy magnet?  Second, whatever his name was, that kid was cute enough to star in GAP ads.  And his grandmother was clearly smitten.  Which I was glad for because every kid deserves to be the sugar in someone's sweet tea.  Third, it never occurred to me to consider livestock names for the children.  I mean, Sweetwater and Ricochet could've given Talladega and Ricky Bobby (which Travis voted for early on) a run for their money.  And finally, I think I am going to walk into Wal-mart now with a new mindset.  If I get a deal, great.  What I'm really looking for now is a story.
