Addison is now beginning to talk in complete sentences. I first noticed it when she said, "I made a circle" without any prompting or support. Then today she repeated our entire mealtime prayer unassisted. Just to think it wasn't that long ago that we were beyond thrilled that she managed a simple smile. This kid may end up struggling in other areas, but she sure seems to be gifted with language right now. I'm looking forward to seeing how she continues to grow and change in the next few months!
Caden has also made some serious moves in his development. He is repeating, trying to pronounce more accurately and communicating wants and needs much more readily. And he excels in areas where his sister is less consistent. He identifies shapes and colors with greater accuracy and confidence. He also problem solves and follows directions better.
Of course there are other things they're excelling in which make me cringe... like emotional outbursts when they can't have what they want and smarty-pants type behaviors such as looking at you and holding your gaze while slowly dropping their cup off the table. Oh, and leaving the playground and heading for the street. Yikes, all this growing and developing better come along with speedier reaction times and greater patience on my part. Or we're doomed!
