DIY Number Plates
I got the idea for this here, but really wanted cuter numbers than I could freehand. So I took an old sheet of scrapbook stickers, placed them behind the plate and traced with Sharpie. Then I turned the plate over and colored in the back side to minimize the marks on surface that would be most used (even though it seems pretty resistant to washing and rubbing). I tried just tracing and filling in the numbers on the backside, but it was too hard to visualize them backwards and see if they were straight. That, or it was late at night and my brain had already mushified. The plates came from Wal-mart in a pack of 12, which is good because today Addison was counting to herself, "8, 9, 10, 11, 12..."
