Packing It Up

Our last trip that I took alone with the kids taught me something.  Well, several things, but I'll get into DVDs, snack traps and Addison's observation skills later.  What I thought was so far off has happened much sooner than I'd expected.  The kids' clothes can no longer be packed in a duffel bag.  It's winter, so we need more stuff but their clothes are also bigger.  And there's two of everything.  So they need an actual suitcase.  And I've officially been bumped.  To duffel status.  Just one more very tangible thing that I find myself giving over to my children as they grow.  Won't be long before Addison's borrowing my shirts.  (Insert sound of a falling tear here...  and the sound of whispered prayers that I can still be hip enough for her to think there's anything of value in my closet.)
