... from shopping all day!!! My sweet, sweet husband put in a day's work with the twins while I put in a day's work hunting down baby deals all over town. The recent cold snap woke me up to the fact that my kiddos have outgrown almost all their cool-weather gear. So off I went. I opted to buy only a few key pieces, since I've learned the hard way about buying too much too fast. But I could never, and I mean NEVER have accomplished in three weeks with the kids what I did today by myself. I covered two malls, Crossroads, Paddywhacks, Walmart and the grocery store.
My feet are tired, but the babies have what they need. And well, so do I. I thoroughly enjoyed my day, rediscovering the things I used to do pre-babies:
- carry a purse
- ride an escalator
- listen to words/songs on the radio
- not think aloud
- people watching
- plan an itinerary of more than 3 stops
- drive without keeping one eye glued to the rear view mirror
- have a complete phone conversation, or TWO!
- wear jewelry
- wear shoes
- browse
- comparison shop
- take the stairs
- stand still
