I Am So Stinkin' Proud Of My Kiddos!

Caden has such great spatial sense, he is now sorting shapes and pushing them through their correct holes when playing with sorting toys. He'll stick with it and keep turning them until he gets them positioned perfectly. Just like he'll focus in on tasks involving tools or physical challenge (like driving the wagon all over the driveway). Also, he is just beginning to repeat a few words with prompting. Nothing spectacular, but I think I may be more proud of his budding vocabulary than Addison's little dictionary of words, because it's something that didn't come quickly for him.

Addison is a little parrot. She is saying all kinds of words and beginning to use two syllables or short phrases (ex: bathroom, all gone or right back). She will sometimes follow verbal commands with no visual help or prompting (ex: I can ask her to "put the toast in your mouth" and she can pick it out of the other choices on her tray and do it!). And tonight, when reading our favorite bedtime story we got to the page that reads "Wow, look at me..." and she shouted out "WOW!" before we would read the words ourselves.

I can see that this toddler stage is going to be a real challenge times two. But those moments are totally outweighed by the complete blessing it is to watch them learn and grow each day.

I love the toddler stage!!!! It has its challenges, but it is so worth all the good and fun! I'm proud of your kiddos too. Sounds like they are doing great. Your a great mom, b/c w/o you they wouldn't be able to do what they are doing. Good job MOM!!!!
