New Stuff!

At the last Triangle Mothers of Multiples sale, I scored some major loot! Got some great new books for our library. Biggest find though? The exact sandbox I've been hunting for in perfect condition for less than half the original price. The kids didn't know quite what to make of it their first time in it but they're getting the hang of it. Especially Caden. He loves new things and jumps right in. Ladybug on the the other hand, well she doesn't like the feel of sand so much and spends alot of her sandbox time handling the toys and sitting very still.

Other finds include this awesome music set. Caden is already practicing for drum corp. Addison displays more of a penchant for things she can shake, like the tamborine. Right now, both of them much prefer sticking the drum sticks in their mouth over any actually sound production... so close monitoring is a must when we play with this toy. Am thinking they'll be more into this toy later on. Zarins family band, here we come! I also scored three collapsible play tents for $6. They weren't designed to go with our collapsible tunnel, but it works. I totally see them reading and camping out in these a little later on.

Also new, the kids can climb up on most furniture if it's low enough to the ground. Don't they look like big kids reading on the couch with Grammy and checking out their pictures on Grampy's iPad???

But perhaps the best thing of all... a puddle. We were walking with Grammy yesterday and Caden found the one puddle in the entire cul-de-sac to "accidentally" fall in. I see plenty of mud pies and puddle jumping in my future with this one ;)
