These kiddos are funny little things. They are really beginning to investigate the world and assert some independence. This afternoon, for example, I got brave and decided to let the kids take turns walking with my hand while the other rode in the wagon. I was thinking this would be the safest way. Yep, that lasted about 5 minutes. Soon both kids were down on the ground, speeding up and down the driveway and pushing my hands away whenever I tried to help. We had a few falls but no injuries... two ultra-proud twinlets, and about 50 new gray hairs on mom. But how sweet it is to see them going for it!
They also go for alot of other things now... Yesterday Addison decided to wear her shirt her way (note the "I did it all by myself" face). And Caden decided to sit inside the end table and disconnect the child-proofed lamp cord. Both kids played dress up and mugged for the camera with very little prompting. And given a few minutes of time alone in the kitchen, Addison unloaded mom's drawers and every single zip loc bag she could find. (It was the sound of Caden slipping on all the ziplocks that caught my attention... I know, Mother of the Year here!) And the nastiest of all, this morning Caden got into the trash and in about 30 seconds managed to use the empty yogurt container to fingerpaint the trash can (and himself).
