We're 8 Months Old!

We'll have to wait for our next well-baby check to get an official weigh in, but by my scale the kids are each 19 lbs and change and they appear to be stretching out some. They spend alot of time these days babbling, sitting up and moving around with scoots, pivots and rolls. They can stand by themselves for a few seconds while holding onto furniture but (thankfully) haven't figured out how to pull up on their own yet. Solid foods are going well and the kids love their new space-saver high chairs. Don't they look so grown up?!?

We are beginning to see a little separation anxiety when I walk away or get out of sight, but that's a good thing! It means they're developing a sense of object permanence and are aware when things they love come and go. A new favorite thing is bathtime (since the purchase of our inflatable bath duck). They enjoy peekaboo and being tickled. Best of all they like when their dad comes home. He is their favorite playmate and is always greeted with ear-to-ear smiles! Both kiddos are good little travelers and continue to be very content little people if all their basic needs are met. Mom is a lucky lady!!
