I never knew that two little things could create so much laundry! I feel like I'm always starting a load or folding... but my lovely children don't always nap long enough for me to concentrate solely on the house. At times like these we improvise.
The other day, while his sister snoozed, Caden awoke early and then had to join me for laundry duty. Since he's too little to fold, he just sat and observed. I told him that when he was a little older he could help fold washcloths. Then we'd graduate to hand towels and finally big towels. We talked about the difference between darks and lights, daddy's clothes and mommy's clothes, and the effect that spit up and poop can have on your kids' favorite outfits. All the while, Mama folded and Caden listened as he took a washing machine ride in the Bumbo seat. The washing machine noise was fine, but once the spinning commenced Caden suddenly wasn't so sure he liked laundry anymore... Good thing that in the end he decided it was a pretty fun gig, riding the washer.
