Today I'm Wonder Woman
Today I feel like Wonder Woman. While I'm not rockin' the Lynda Carter outfit, I sure do feel like I have the power to spin around a few times to music only I can hear and magic happens. Today I got both kids up, fed, burped, bathed in the tub (takes much longer than the sink!) and dressed. Got a shower and got dressed in real clothes myself. Vacuumed half of the downstairs and did a load of wash. All before 11:30am! Then loaded up the kiddles and headed to the bank where I spent an hour getting a variety of long-overdue tasks done. The kids were in an out of sleep the whole time, but they did great! Drove from there to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. The kids were taking turns waking up but were still ok. Then headed back home in time to unload two crying kids (who wouldn't be tired after all that?!?) and get them down for a nap. No small task when they both need you at the same time. Nursed them when they awoke, burped them, got them occupied and then proceeded to cook an actual dinner. Home-made, hand-breaded chicken medallions with garden vegetable and feta couscous. At which point Travis came home. The Wonder Woman music faded and so did my energy. I know it can't be like today everyday, but it sure is nice once in a while to feel like a super hero... Now if only I could master the magic lasso (of truth) before the kids can talk.
