Another First
Today the kids and I went to Target for the first time. While there's nothing particularly difficult about this, it sure is stressful for me until I've done it a few times. There's just so much to worry about... what if they cry, what if they need a diaper change in the middle of the store, what if they get hungry earlier than I planned, and so on. There's just one of me and two of them! I suppose these little worries are just preparation for all the mommy worry that comes with motherhood... But we did it! Actually we did three errands. I stopped by Aunt Peep's old place to make sure I had the correct extra key. Then we turned in said key in preparation for Aunt Peep's closing on Friday. THEN we went to Target. So I feel extra proud. Particularly so when I factor in that I got two feedings and both kids bathed before we left, I had to change diapers in the ladies room and we got back before anybody was hungry! Lessons learned today... Don't go out looking too bad, people ARE going to stop and talk to you about the kids. But don't worry about looking good either, you're just the body that pushes the stroller :) :) Twin strollers cannot be turned around in a ladies room. Twin car seats do not work well in shopping carts.

I like this post. Yay for success!!!! I can remember those feelings very well and I only had one to go out with. Izzy wasn't an "easy" baby though...I love her with all my heart though and wouldn't change a thing about her.
