We are big on swaddling the babies when they sleep, and when they need calming. It seems to work really well, particularly for our more active baby--Addison. And one of the keys to swaddling is to thwart the "unswaddling" attempts that both babies make. Most of the time they don't mean to break out (well, when they're really crying they definitely do!), but when an arm gets loose or the legs poke out... they get all worked up again, or wake themselves. So you can see how important it is for us to keep an eye on the swaddle. Last week we looked in on Addison while she was napping in the Pack 'n Play. We found her working her way out of the swaddle, face first! We came back a few minutes later and she'd decided to push the wrap up even further creating some stylish nap-wear for the head!
