Week 29: Tummy Tracker

My week 29 belly... reclining in the back yard, nice change of pace!!!

What Are The Babies Doing This Week?
Growing! This week they'll be about 15.7 inches long now, and will weigh almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds each of them, but that volume will decrease as they get bigger and take up more room. The babies' eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very good; even after they're born, they'll keep their eyes closed for a good part of the day. When they do open them, they'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means they can only make out objects a few inches from their face.

What Are The Parents Doing This Week?
Well, mom is down for the count and trying not to be too bummed about that. Can't do anything to assist with the nursery or daily functioning of the house. But I've certainly appreciated all that my sweet husband has been doing to take care of things while I'm incubabyin'. He's amazing, and handling all the extra work like a champ! What a great dad he is already! This week we hope to pick up the last of the major items that we still need and continue working on the nursery... 7 months finished, and here comes week 30!

Me, dressed up for a doctor visit.

I really look forward to the chance to be up and about for an hour!!
