Oh, Deer!

It's not your everyday event, waking up to find 3 deer bedded down outside your kitchen window. But there they were this morning. They looked just like dogs or cats do when they're napping, all snuggled into themselves... and they were easy to miss. Nature camouflages them perfectly with the leaves and forest shadows! After we looked at them for a few minutes one finally stood up, stretched and flicked his tail (all the while watching us watch him through the window) and then wandered off into the woods, presumably for breakfast. We frequently see the deer, up close and personal. Travis is even convinced he can converse with them (my sweet deer whisperer!) but this is the first time I've seen them wake up. It seems that all God's creatures enjoy a good siesta, just like me!
